A Personal Quest
They do not call ten year olds who read their mother's university texts in psychology nerds. However, there is no difference between the intensity of my passion for psychology and the Information Technology nerd's intense passion for computers and computer programming. We work similar hours, under similar conditions. Money and career was never the top priority, psychology was, but not just any psychology.

Somewhere in the back of my head was a vision that science fiction writer and polymath Isaac Asimov dramatized in his Foundation Saga. I discovered in the eighties that my vision and my conclusions are almost identical to his. His alter ego was my ego, but he was always ahead of me. I missed him when I was working on Elements. The only real difference between us is that I am neither an atheist nor an agnostic. That difference means nothing to me.
